It's been a long time coming. This artist is known to be a breath of fresh air to hip-hop music. Raised by his mother and an older sister Colie knew that one day he would have to be the man of the household which caused him to make a lot of wrong decisions trying to do right. He began writing poetry and realized writing was his form of expression. As more problems came into the household more sheets were written. It 1996 when Colie jumped into a freestyle battle in his high school bathroom and actually felt as if he finally got the respect he deserved. "Wow! I remember it well, I was nervous, these dudes were nice I mean no one would test these dudes lyrically so the outcome is a lasting memory so I got serious with it." Colie began rhyming in public no matter where he was he just knew he had to get heard. Moving back to Bronx N.Y. from Stamford, CT he restarted his journey sneaking into local bars, clubs and pubs just to attend open mics as the love from the crowd grew so did his passion. As of today Colie takes pride into his craft whether on stage or off stage he is determined to make you feel what he is saying. You're probably asking yourself what his style is like. Or asking yourself who he sounds like? Well Colie speaks on all topics from domestic violence to the street stories we are accustomed to today. Colie has had his share of accomplishments from songs getting air time on the Wendy Williams Experience titled "That's not You" which is a song letting people know its o.k. to be themselves and "Remember" an R&B track written by Colie and sung by a local artist followed by another banger titled "Blow Your Mind" which played on hot 93.7 Connecticut's main urban station. Colie has also hosted many events and performed at many places such as Yale University , The New Savoy, Club Ice, Club City , Central CT State University the Rich Forum and many more places. Colie has also had many radio interviews and is known to have the phones ringing off of pure talent and personality. Standing at 5'6" this man is also known to demand attention. You can't help but to wonder what this man has on his mind but once he opens his mouth all lets loose. "I love to incorporate old school samples in my music because I like to express myself on mellow beats, I feel I have a lot to say so I try to help the listener by not drowning my words on overly loud beats." Colie has also distributed three albums and Music Mansion mix tapes of his own selling thousands of units within weeks. As labels chose to over look his talent he formed a team known to you as the Music Mansion Family where only pure talent is expected. Colie has also picked up key members on his way to the top now putting together poetry events bringing the P.O.M.E poets to the public which are poets off of the Music Mantion branch. This man aims to do big things, make something out of nothing!.. Give real music. CLEAR!
