50MICS, TWIN CHIN & MUSIC MANSION PRESENTS 50MICS CONNECTICUT-MIX ARENA SERIES featuring special Guest BOXER "JOE GREENE"
STAMFORD, Connecticut and New York Unsigned Artist will be preparing for the First 50mics-Mix Concert Arena Series championship bout on Friday January 23rd 2009 at "Revolution." The Bout will take place in a boxing ring, 2 Artist goes in and only one will come out.
BOXER "Joe Greene is one of the last guys in the amateurs that could knock guys out," said Joe Higgins, President of USA Boxing-Metro. Joe Greene won the Golden Gloves in 2003 and 2004, the National Golden Gloves in 2004, for which he collected the Golden Boy award for the competitions best fighter.
50MICS-MIX DESCRIPTION
The 50MICS movement is growing and expanding with the addition of the
50MICS-MIXX. The 50MICS MIXX is a Showcase/Concert series showcasing the hottest talent from around the country. With the success of the 50MICS BOSTON-MIX, WORCESTER, MIAMI, NEW YORK and TENNESSE we felt it was due time to bring the 50MICS-MIX to Connecticut. Our goal is to have a 50MICS concert in all 50 States of this Grand Country.
The Concept of 50MICS was born as a direct response to the rampant exploitation of the underground artist. Exposure for artist has become big business. We felt that many talented artist fall between the cracks simply because they are unable to afford many of the various avenues of exposure which exist in today. In many cases real creative people tend to have limited resources and therefore are unable to compete in an over saturated music business. We felt it was time to level the playing field.
Take a second and imagine the gathering of 10 best-unsigned talents monthly in different States in America, have them showcase their talent and be featured on the 50MICS Monthly Compilation MIXTAPE network, Also each artist will be filmed and interviewed then broadcast. This is the premise behind the 50MICS CONNECTICUT-MIX "CONCERT SERIES". Each artist that participates in each competition will receive a wealth of exposure. The winner from the night will have a chance to compete in New York where the 50MICS TOURNAMENT CHALLENGE is held monthly. Artist who compete in the New York 50MICS Tournament will have the chance to be a part of a major compilation album that 50MICS is producing early in 2009.
EACH CONTESTANTS RECEIVES THE FOLLOWING:
1) ARTIST MUSIC ON 50MICS ONLINE MIXTAPE
2) ARTIST GETS A CHANCE TO BE ON A MAJOR ALBUM
3) ARTIST PERFORMS LIVE ON STAGE IN FRONT OF JUDGES
4) ARTIST PERFORMANCE WILL BE FILMED AND AIRED
5) AFTER PERFORMANCE, ARTIST WILL BE INTERVIEWED
6) ARTIST WILL BE PROMOTED AS 50MICS CONTESTANTS
7) ARTIST MUSIC ON 50MICS MIXTAPE
8) ANY ARTIST WHO WINS FOR THAT NIGHT, GETS AN INTERVIEW AND MUSIC PLAYED ON THE RADIO STATION (WVOF 88.5FM www.myspace.com/ascap2) AND COMPETE IN NEW YORK IN FRONT of OUR 3 BIG PANEL JUDGES. THIS IS FOR A CHANCE TO BE ON THE 50MICS MAJOR ALBUM THAT WILL BE SOLD IN STORES AND ONLINE

Proceeds will go towards children in need of a better education
